From the recording Dream Catcher
A Dream Catcher is a handmade hoop woven with a net or web and decorated with sacred items like feathers and beads, traditionally used in some Indigenous cultures as a protective charm.
Produced and performed by Chris Birkett.
Lyrics
You are the Dream catcher, I look to you for the answer
You are the dream maker, I wait for you
To catch the drifting air, the shadows linger there
your silver threads and twine, where moon and starlight shine
A circle bound in threads and twine
A web of hope to live for
I hang you up and all is fine
Hoping love comes through my door - for me
You are the Dream catcher, I look to you for the answer
You are the dream maker, I wait for you
Through feathers soft the goodness glides
a sleeping premonition
for in it’s weave a promise lies
A universe condition - for me
This world is full of hopeful souls
dreaming a better future
Where love and kindness are the goals
they rest within our nature
Solo
To take away my fear, take away my sorrow
Take away my pain, leave me clear tomorrow
