Solo Music

As a solo artist, Chris has been writing, recording, and releasing his insightful original music since 1993. Few artists today are as prolific as Chris, or as important to preserving the wonder and beauty of our world and the people who dwell in it.

A self-taught musician, Chris is a remarkable vocalist, guitarist, bass player, and percussionist with an astonishing array of multi-genre recordings. Many of which feature an A-list of collaborators who help bring Chris’s message of peace and enlightenment to life.

As a composer and arranger, Chris creates music for documentary films and TV shows. He also produces and performs original recordings for emerging and established artists, such as the legendary Buffy Sainte-Marie.

Be Creative (2019)

Chris’s fourth album, Be Creative, further cemented his reputation as one of music’s most versatile songwriters. The album features performances from renowned Canadian artists such as Glen Milchem (Blue Rodeo) and Rick Emmett (Triumph), and includes the popular tracks “Wake Up”, “Be the Change”, “Sticks and Stones”, and the title song.

Freedom (2010)

Chris’s evocative poetry, haunting arrangements, and soul-stirring musicianship beget this collection of unforgettable folk/blues originals. Written and recorded in Paris, supporting musicians include Tony Visconti and Nico Mirande on bass guitars, Marc Berthoumieux on accordion, and André Ceccarelli on drums. Feature tracks include “Call Me”, “One Step Closer”, “Saviour”, and “You Belong to Me”.

Men from the Sky (1992)

Drawing on influences from rock, pop, folk, and world music, Men from the Sky is the work of a creative artist with profound thoughts woven into tight melodies. The album features “Where Do We Go from Here?”, included on the charity album One Voice One Love, alongside U2, Peter Gabriel, Bob Marley, Tears for Fears, and Queen.

Along with his solo work, Chris writes, records, and performs with two Toronto-area bands: The Free Spirits and The Happy Campers.
